Monkey Forest

Hack Green Secret Nuclear Bunker
For over 50 years this vast underground complex, remained secret, hidden on the outskirts of a sleepy Cheshire town. Declassified in 1993, the 35,000 square foot underground bunker would have been the centre of Regional Government had nuclear war broken out.

Churnet Valley Railway
Not only can be transported back in time, for a ride on a steam train, but throughout the year there are lots of events for all ages.
Book onto one of the dining trains, or just enjoy the ride through the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands countryside, alongside rivers and canals.

Foxfield Railway
Take a steam or diesel train and step back into the early days of train travel.
With lots of events and even the opportunity to drive a train, this is the ideal day out.

Rudyard Lake Steam Railway
The narrow gauge Rudyard Lake Steam railway provides a great family day out.
Take the three mile return trip along the side of the lake, hire a boat or do a bit of fishing.
You could even just take a picnic and enjoy the beautiful setting.
Voted the third most romantic place in Britain, Rudyard Lake has lots of things to entertain the whole family.
