YOUR DOG

Please don’t think we’re picking on you personally, we’re sure you are a responsible dog owner. It’s just that we have had a few people abusing our trust. We are not a cheap kennelling service where dogs can be shut in the cottage and left. Dogs must not be left in the cottages on their own as they have damaged furniture, doors, windowsills and carpets - and they do bark. Feel free to exercise your dog in our field or wooded areas. There are many good walks from Foxtwood, please do ask if you would like suggestions or directions. For the comfort of other guests (and the chickens) that do not share our love of dogs please keep your dog on a lead at all times around the cottages. When your dog goes to the toilet, please clear up, tie the bag and put in the black dustbin at the gate by the pond. (We have bags if you need some) Please do not allow your dog to mess or wee on the lawns, garden areas or up the cottage walls. (Our dog remarks his territory and we end up with lots of unsightly brown patches in the lawn). Do not allow your dog on the furniture or beds, please bring freshly laundered bedding for your dog. Should you need to wash your dog off, please use the hosepipe in the yard or the boot wash by the spring pool in the car park. By meeting these few requests, dogs will be allowed to keep visiting Foxtwood.
