Thornbury Hall, Kingsley Holt - 01538 750831 2 miles, Pakistani / Indian Rasoi. Not your average curry restaurant. All the dishes are cooked with the freshest spices and flavours while you are waiting. If you like this type of food you will not be disappointed. Nice dining rooms, reasonable choice of beers and lagers, good service, reasonably priced. They will do take aways and now deliver free on orders over £15.

Black Lion, Consall Forge - 01782 550294 beautiful level 2.5 miles walk or bike ride along the canal towpath. Approx 40 min walk, to drive it is a 7 mile detour on a rough track. We used to have great fun describing this place, but the eccentric, landlady has now gone.
