During you stay at Foxtwood why not try one of our home grown trout, freshly caught for you from the spring pool.

Our local friendly butcher - Pete, not only supplies excellent meat at his shop in Kingsley - great homemade burgers and sausages but also carries a range of other food and basic supplies, if you can put an order together he will deliver your goods to your cottages door. Now Pete being a great butcher is good with his knife but not so good with his mouse, so you can phone him on 01538 754859 or if you prefer, email us and we can print it off and pass it on.

For rare breed beef or pork you can try one of our local farmers, Mark Bennion who sells at farmers markets or from his door  just up the road in Foxt 01538 266049. Both his beef and pork comes from his own heards, beef - pedigree Sussex, pork - pedigree Berkshire.

For general groceries, papers and another butcher visit Ipstones (1.5 miles), or if you prefer a supermaket you will need to head for one of the local towns.

The local market towns offer a good selection of products, and if you like chasing a bargain on the market stalls market days are ;-

Cheadle 4 miles (small market) - Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, always has a stall from the local brewery

Leek 9 miles (medium size market) - Wednesday,  also on the third Saturday of every month there is a fine food market.
